Yesterday's Shadow

whispered morning breaths
golden fire lies down her path
Willow stands weeping

yesterday's shadow welcomes
Autumn's naked silhouette

Petrina,
Is there a sadness here with the passing of Autumn. It appears very much so!

But those tears will freeze soon enough in the harshness of winter, to become droplets with the hint of spring. Well written.

You captured the essence of autumn so well. I love the last line (again!) I wish it would start feeling like autumn around here soon! Rain, humidity, and 80s just isn't doing it for me! (My word verification is "psycho"-that about sums up how I feel!)
