The Cleansing ...And... my Interview link...

This Sunday is the final photographer interview (One Shoot Sunday) over at One Stop Poetry as the site is coming to a close, each of it's dedicated, talented...   moving on to other things.  Though we are sad to see the end of this truly inspirational community, we wish them all the best in their new endeavors.  (sigh)    This week's photographer was the wonderfully talented Rosie Hardy.  She shared some fabulous photography with us and I was inspired by this particular photo....

weighted events bear down upon the soul
holding back, holding deep within
yet
there is a cleansing tide
refreshing...
cleansing
the
days of future images
days
of
new beginnings
birthed in crisp new waters

Also,

Please follow this link below to check out my interview over at Jingle Poetry. I am truly grateful to have been asked to participate in this week's Sunday Rally Dispatch.  It is there that one will find all the latest news and happenings, as well as interviews of poets participating in their community each week in the Sunday Rally Dispatch post.  This week they have spotlighted one of their newest officials, 'the charming Aynsley Fuller (Life in Verse)'.   It was wonderful to get to know her a little better, and then an interview by Jamie Dedes (Musings by Moonlight) with me, letting everyone know a little more about who I am and what I am all about. Please stop by, I look forward to sharing a little of my world with everyone.

Thanks again for the time you take out of your busy day to visit here at my place.  Have a wonderful week everyone.

Your poem is a fine example of when "form" enhances the meaning of a poem. I read a give and take like the tides through your lines. Awesome

I believe that our souls can be cleansed again and again. I like how it starts out "heavy" and gets lighter as the poem continues.

days of new beginnings birthed in crisp new waters..this is beautiful and speaks to me...we all need these days of new beginnings and when it feels like in the photo with all the water pouring and washing away all that is old and used...even better

The photo reminds me a little bit of Ana Mendieta's work. The sea is always such a draw.

Your poem foreshadows what's to come. I look forward to seeing you and the group at dverse.

Thank you for your lovely comment on my poem.

Yes, there will be a cleansing tide, and soon, for Mother Earth despirately needs it!

It may come at the hands of an awakened Homo sapiens, or the Earth changes...whichever comes first...the cleansing will come...and not too soon!

Light, Peace and Happiness,
Roger ☺

Great lines, great interpretation of the photo. "...birthed in crisp new waters" -- loved that one.

Weighted events reminds me of going under hypnosis and feeling the weight bear down and you go under.
