Endless Beauty
Red crevassed walls reaching upward,
Reaching to blend with the hazy blue skies,
Endless is the beauty of you.
Blue and white waters meander onward,
Reaching to blend with the ends of time,
Endless is the beauty of you.
How, in so many billions of years,
Could the river of your bellows carve this?
This endless beauty of you.
Hard rock walls, penetrated by the flow,
Forever, the impudence of majestic glory,
Endless is the beauty of you.

I love that line "the impudence of majestic glory." Good poem.
Lovely descriptions throughout your poem, and agree with Glynn—love the line he quotes. Nice work! Cheers :)
A very good descriptive poem my friend
I'll say lovely and descriptive. And I love the pics of your puppies, how adorable. Me and my husband are huge animal lovers. We have 4 dogs, a cat and a bird.

You are very creative. Love how you write. The description of the picture makes it more breathtaking then the picture itself.
The last stanza is magnificent..."the impudence of majestic glory"! How else could it be? And you wrote the exact words. Thank YOU!
beautiful descriptors ~ etched ~ a majesty

The repetition couldn't be more true - such endless beauty rolling through it, carved deep into the very rocks that rise before us. Great description, you've got a knack for words here - and I'm going to have to go with the crowd on this one, and say that line, "the impudence of majestic glory," really takes the cake. Delightful!
A feeling of inevitability and time, as well as beauty, here. A bit of an echo of the ballade form with that last line repeating. Nice.
I have to agree with the others about that line "impudence of majestic glory". Lovely reflection.
beautiful images here - this one struck me in particular:
How, in so many billions of years,
Could the river of your bellows carve this?

Have a Beautiful and Blessed Thanksgiving...bkm
The poem and picture go hand in hand in describing the beauty. Excellent poem!
The repetition of the final line in each stanza makes this read like a prayer. Nicely done!
Your words are wonderful, describing the photo beautifully.
an awesome shre... the picture is brilliant and so is the poem... beautiful
The impudence of majestic glory...that really sums it all up! This beauty is endless..
Reaching to blend with the ends of time,
Some line that, my friend. It does it for me!
This sounds like a prayer to earth mother.
'Endless is the beauty'. It lingers on . An apt description of the scenery. Brilliant!
And Happy Thanksgiving to you, Petrina!
